She closed the
door behind him,
He went without a fight.
She didn’t even say goodbye,
No way to make it right
Now trying to forget it all,
She stumbles through the day,
Putting on a brave front,
But it just wont go away
So she cries,
Pouring out the pain inside
Helping her to make it
Through another lonely night.
So she cries,
Looking for an explanation,
Finding strength in desperation,
So she cries.
Sometimes she thinks about him,
Remembers nights like this
She knows the life they once had
Can no longer exist.
She’s putting it behind her now,
It really had to end,
But all those painful mem’ries
Keep on coming back again.
So she cries,
Pouring out the pain inside
Helping her to make it
Through another lonely night.
So she cries,
Looking for an explanation,
Finding strength in desperation,
So she cries.
So many tears will fall along the way
Those tears will give her strength
To keep on going one more day
So she cries,
Pouring out the pain inside
Helping her to make it
Through another lonely night.
So she cries,
Looking for an explanation,
Finding strength in desperation,
So she cries.
